Bijoy Singh Dighi

Bijoy Singh Dighi is a traditional lake situated in Feni district. It is the best lake here among other lakes to be seen. It is an imperishable deed of establisher of Sen clan, the great king Bijoy Sen. The lake is located at Bijoy Singh village that is about 2 kilometres at west from Feni town and just before Feni Circuit House. The lake is about 37.57 acre. People from various places come here to see this charming lake.

Arboraceous natural beauty of this place is incomprehensible and four high banks of the lake have added an unique characteristic to this place. In the afternoon, the place bears a festive mood with the resounds of tourists feet. However, to spend a moment with lovely nature and get the touches of clean water and cold wind, this place is incomparable with other tourists spot.

According to a myth, about six or seven years ago, there was a blind daughter of a powerful king and the king dug this lake as a desire to get back sight of his daughter. To the locals, the daughter is called "jhi." From that perspective, this lake was also introduced as Rajajhir Dighi. In 1875, after subdivision of Feni District, headquarter of this district is formed here. There have been also built Feni Court, Officers Club, Police Headquarter, National Heart Foundation, Infant Park under district board surrounding the spot.

How to go

- From Trunk Road Zero Point or railway station by hiring CNG, you can directly go to the spot.

- Otherwise, following the road that goes Mohipal Traffic point to Circuit House by rickshaw, you can also reach to the place.

Where to stay

-Feni Circuit House( near to the spot)

- District Board Dak Bungalow or LGED Rest House ( these are about 3/4 kilometers away from the spot and you can reach there by rickshaw or CNG)

- Rest houses of Water Development Board or Local Electricity Association ( Like others, it is also about 2/3 kilometers away from the lake and can be traveled by CNG or rickshaw)
