There is no perfect time to visit Delhi. The city is well known for its air pollution and considered one of the unhabitable cities. There’s smog all around the city in the season of winter so it is very difficult for sightseeing. Even in the summer season, the temperature soars up to 45 degrees Celsius. Perhaps avoiding traveling to New Delhi between April and June is the best idea. Plan your trips between the months of February and March or October and November for the best experience. Delhi Jama Masjid is one of the largest mosques in India. This was one of the structures built by the fifth emperor of the Mughal Empire, Shah Jahan, and was completed in 1656. This is one of the most visited places in Delhi by tourists all around the globe. You have to pay a 100 rupee fee to climb the south minaretto have a amazing view of Delhi. The Red Fort of Delhi was also built by Mughal emperor Shan Jahan over the period of 8 years. It was completed in 1648 and now is a national monument. You have to enter from Lahore Gate and explore the many rooms, which include the Drum House, Pearl Mosque, Royal Baths, Palace of Colour and the stunning white marble surroundings of the Hall of Private Audiences. You will be astonished by the structural and architectural brilliance. Visit in the evening to catch the dazzling sound and light show. India Gate is a memorial dedicated to 82,000 soldiers who served the undivided British Indian army and lost their lives during the First World War. This place is overly crowded and chaotic. But of course, it has an essence of its own significance. Honestly, Delhi tour is incomplete without visiting this place. Qutub Minar is the second tallest Minar in entire India. The magnificent 74-meter-tall structure is constructed from red sandstone and marble. The minar has 379 steps which leads to its peak.


Another most visited place is Humayun’s Tomb. Humayun was one of the Mughal emperors in Delhi. After his death, his wife commissioned the creation of this magnificent tomb. The complex includes other tombs as well, such as Bega Begum and one for the son of Shah Jahan. Humayun’s Tomb was built in the 1500s even before the construction of Taj Mahal. The temple of Akshardham is considered as one of the biggest Temples for Hindus in the world. The site of the temple is very scenic and beautiful. You can also enjoy boat rides, greenery of the gardens, water show, etc at that place. Chandni Chowk is one of the oldest and most visited places of old Delhi. Go there for casual shopping and see the vibrance lifestyle of Indian people. Try getting some street foods as well. New Delhi tour is incomplete without gorging yourself upon the eastern delights of some of the best Indian food the world has to offer. Indian cuisine is diverse and most of the Delhi food are unique is taste and flavor. There is also Mughlai food which were eaten by Mughal family. Jama Masjid gate no 2 also offers Muslim delicacy which are mouth-watering and the smell of Biryani, Halwa, Kebab, Jafran chai, Lassi tickles your nostrils.

How to go:

Two and a half hours by air. The cost of going and coming per person is 20 thousand rupees. However, if one can fix the plan in advance and get the plane ticket, the cost will be reduced a little more. If you do it by train again, the cost will be reduced a lot. You can go to Kolkata by bus or train from Dhaka and from there you can go to Delhi by train.
