Dhaka International Trade Fair: The international and local brands under a roof

Different types of fairs are arranged in Bangladesh every year based on different types of occasions. Some fairs are local and some are international fairs. One of the most famous International fairs of Bangladesh is Dhaka International Trade Fair. This fair is arranged by the associated effort of the Export Promotion Bureau and the Ministry of Commerce of Bangladesh. Export Promotion Bureau is a part of the Ministry of Commerce. This agency is responsible to improve the export industry which is very much important for the nation. The initial proclamation of this agency was made in 1975 though this agency was formed in 1962 when it was East Pakistan. The inauguration of this International Trade Fair was done in 1995 with the vision of bringing international and local sellers under a roof so that the people of Bangladesh can easily visit this fair and buy different types of commodities according to their needs. This international fair is arranged for straight 25 years with the participation of different local and international brands. The fair continues from the first week of January to the first week of February. The crowd can be seen all over the month in this fair, but on the weekends the number of people visiting here is beyond the capacity. The people are seen to be visiting here with their friends and family. The entry ticket price is fixed under $1. That is just affordable for the people. The opening of the fair is from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. of the night. This International trade fair is arranged at Sheer-e-Bangla Nagar and exactly on the west side of the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre. Many international brands take part in this fair every year.


Over 700 premium stalls, general stalls, mini pavilions, and outlets are seen there. The authentic and finest products from the international and local markets are seen to be showcased in the fair. Different types of rare items are also available in this fair that creates the interest among the people of the country to visit this place regularly. The stalls of different countries are arranged serially and well organized. To attract the customers the sellers provide different types of discounts and offers during this time. The hundreds of thousands of people are seen to be visiting this place to buy their desired products available from local and overseas stalls. The sellers are mainly seen to be selling furniture, clothes, vehicle, home appliance, food items, decorating items, handicrafts, cosmetics, and fashionable items. The people are seen to be visiting different food stalls that sell different types of delicious foods. As this is a large fairground, so people visiting hair are most likely to not cover the whole place roaming and checking out every stall in a single visit. It is also seen that many people visit two to three times to cover of visiting the whole place. So this is a wonderful place to spend time with friends and family by shopping, eating delicious foods, and checking out local or international products. To visit this place one should come to the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre and this fairground is just located on the west side of it.
