KARWAN MARKET: Karwan Bazar is the largest central wholesale and retail market in Dhaka city. Although many people call this market Kawran Bazar, its name is actually Karwan Bazar. The head offices of The Daily Star (Bangladesh), Daily ProthomAlo, The Independent and many more newspapers are located in Kawran Bazar. Ekushey Television, NTV, ATN Bangla, ATN News Banglavision are also headquartered at RTV Television and the studio is located at Kawran Bazar. Moreover, the country's largest vegetable market and fish market is here. FDC is also located in this Kawran market.  

BANGABAZAR: After the use of raw materials supplied by foreign buyers and their local representatives, the garment industry in the country has a surplus of fabrics, yarns, buttons, zippers, etc. The garments in Bangabazar are cheaper because they are made of them. Underwear, Pants, Shirt Solid Color: Ready-made garments (dresses, pants, jackets, sweaters, underwear, underwear, etc.), footwear and sarees can also be bought here at low prices. Here any product is sold at retail and wholesale prices.  

STADIUM MARKET: New and old mobiles, computers and other electronics Bangabandhu National Stadium is home to the country's renowned electronics market.   NAWABPUR: This market is very good for Fabrics, Garment Accessories, Agricultural Machinery, Industrial Machinery, Electronics Materials etc.  

  BAITUL MUKARRAM MARKET: There is no opportunity to say that there is a specialized market as different products are available in this market. On the second floor there are various famous jewelery shops of the country. Cameras, CDs, DVD players, TVs and other electronics products are available here.There are also shops selling bags, luggage, watches, glasses, crockery, clothes, shoes, toys etc. There is a nameplate writing system on the ground floor. The market also has a few shops selling perfumes, hats, Punjabi, burqas, jainamaz, etc., including the Islamic Foundation's book sales center. Besides, Islamic books, CDs and DVDs are also sold in the mosque premises.  

DHOLAIKHAL:All kinds of new and old electronics and metal appliances are available at Dholaikhal. Although the name Dholaikhal has the word canal, it is not possible to find any canal or reservoir here. It extends from the junction of Nawabpur Road in Old Dhaka to Narinda. After the independence of Bangladesh, the business of old parts started in Dholaikhal. There are about 1,500 spare parts shops here. In addition to the motor parts shop, there are also drum sheet, lathe machine, old iron and wood shop.They import these reconditioned spare parts from Japan, China, the Middle East, Pakistan and Singapore. Parts of almost all models of vehicles especially Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Maruti are available here. Bed Ford, Isuzu, Nissan, Hino, Volvo, Tata, Ashok Leyland, Tarsel, Iyer, Canter etc. are found in the bus and truck. SHYAMBAZAR :One of the oldest markets in Dhaka. It has been supplying various products to the people of Dhaka since the British rule. At present the market is being managed under the supervision of Dhaka City Corporation. The border of Shyambazar starts 8-15 yards east of Sadarghat Launch Terminal. This market is usually more crowded after Fajr prayers till 11.00 am. There are no weekly closures and normal transactions take place every day from dawn to 8.00 pm. Usually almost all the raw markets and fruits are available in the daily food list. Such as - potato, onion, pepper, eggplant, fish, vegetables, patal, karla etc. Fruits include mango, blackberry, banana, litchi, tamarind, pineapple, guava, etc. Oil, salt and spices are also available. There are different types of market share. For example, on Road No. 1, there are mangoes, jackfruits, litchis and other fruits along the banks of the river Buriganga and potatoes, onions, ginger, garlic, etc. are found on the opposite side of the road.
