Rabindra Jayanti or 25th Baishakh is one of the most important cultural festivals of the Bengali nation. According to the Bengali calendar, this festival is celebrated every year on the 25th of Baishakh on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore. Special public gatherings can be seen at this time in the buildings associated with Rabindrasmriti. In West Bengal, the main events of Rabindra Jayanti are held at JorasankoThakurbari and Rabindrasadan and Santiniketan, the birthplace of the poet in Calcutta.

Rabindra Jayanti is celebrated in Bangladesh through various ceremonies all over the country. Besides, a ceremony is also organized around ShilaidahaKuthibari. Special events are organized in all educational institutions. Special programs are broadcast throughout the day on radio and television. All the newspapers and magazines published special issues on this occasion. RabindraMela (Fair)is organized in Dhaka and Chittagong. Other programs include essay competitions among school-college students, various exhibitions, book fairs, music and painting competitions, etc. Rabindra Jayanti was also celebrated during Rabindranath's lifetime.
