Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibar Rahman was the first president of Bangladesh as well as a noteworthy political figure of South Asia. He kept his major contribution during the movement of the liberation war to snatch the rights from the Pakistan government as they deprived the people of East Pakistan of all facilities like funds, seats in administration, etc. He was the ultimate leader of the liberation war of Bangladesh. He also kept his contribution while India became free from the British government and got also divided. He is regarded as the great Bengali person of thousand years.

Sheikh Mujibar Rahman was born on 17th March 1920 at the Gopalganj subdivision under the Faridpur district. His father's name was Sheikh Lutfar Rahman and his mother's name was Sayera Khatun. He had four sisters and one brother. From the very beginning of his life, leadership quality grew in him. He was also connected with politics from a very early age. He was regarded as Bangabandhu for mixing with Bengali people so closely. At first, he was the leader of the Awami League and also performed his responsibilities as president and prime minister of a liberated country. He taught and lead people to snatch victory and freedom from Pakistani people. Under his leadership, the Bengali people got their desired freedom. That's why he is regarded as "Jatir Janak". When East Pakistan emerged after 1947, he was a young student then. After that, he became president of the Awami League. He worked against the West Pakistan administration. To have the rights of the Bengali people, he initiated a six-point movement.
