One of the most hyped-up foods of the winter season is the winter Pitha or cake. Making Pitha is also in trend in India, Pakistan, and Nepal besides Bangladesh. Different types of Pitha may have a sweet and spicy taste. Some are boiled in hot oil and some are prepared by oven baking.They are made with the inside filling, outside garnishing, or sauce. These are kind of snacks item and is very much liked by the people of this country. 1. Bhapa Pitha: This is one of the most famous Pitha of Bangladesh. The feeling of eating freshly made hot Bhapa Pitha is just incomparable. It is made with powdered rice, coconut, and the date Palm jaggery filled inside it. During the winter season, this Pitha is seen to be made in the different small stalls of the urban area and a rural area, it is a must-made item.
2. Patishapta Pitha: This is also very much famous among the food lover. It is a soft thin Pitha. This Pitha is seen to be made on different occasions in Bangladesh and one of the musts made Pihta of the winter season. This Pitha is mainly made by coconut and jaggery filling and sometimes the Kheersha filling.
3. Dudh puli: This is one of the most common Pitha of the rural area. The outer shell of the Pitha is made of rice powder and the inside filling is of jaggery. It looks like a dumpling and at the last, they are dipped in the hot milk and jaggery
4. Chitoi pitha: This Pitha is seen to be made in the different urban area streets though its origin belongs to the rural area. This Pitha is served with a different type of spicy bhorta and chutney.
5. Teler Pitha: This Pitha is made from rice powder and the jaggery mix. Then the pancake-like shape is boiled in the hot oil and it becomes ready. This is famous for its instant easy making process.
