The best weather in the Maldives is between November to April. This is also considered as the peak season when the hotel, villa, resort, and guesthouse rent soar up high. The monsoon hits somewhere from late April and lasts till October. If you do not like rain or a sloppy environment try avoid traveling around this time. The visa processing for foreigners is pretty easy. You will get free on arrival visa for 30 days. You can roam around Maldives with the help of either a boat, a ferry, or a seaplane. Seaplanes can take you to almost any island. They are the equivalent of taxis but costs a lot. Ferries are cheap but is time consuming. Male island is the capital of Maldives and is popular for shopping. The island is 1.5-kilometer-long and 1 kilometer wide. So, it is easy to explore the island walking and enjoy the mosques and other infrastructures.You can visit the National Museum. Also, roam around the bustling Republic Square, which is just less than a kilometer away. Male people are very friendly try to talk to the local people to know about their culture and history. Baros islands is one of the luxurious islands of Maldives. It is just 30 mins boat ride from the capital. The water is Baros islands is so clear that you can see through all the sea creatures and corals.
